The honey soap is ideal for providing your skin softness and hydration it needs. Although it is a home product intended for all types of skins, its effects are much more visible on sensitive skins . Honey is a natural ingredient that promotes the delay of aging, as well as provide all the nutrients and vitamins that our skin needs to look perfect. Also, this handmade soap is a potent antibacterial and healing. Do you want to know how to elaborate it? Read on for an article on How to Make Honey Soap.
You will need to:
- 250 ml of water
- 250 ml ml extra virgin olive oil
- 50 g of caustic soda
- 75 ml almond oil
- 75 ml coconut oil
- 4 teaspoons honey
Instructions:
1. Before starting the preparation you should leave all the ingredients ready. To make this honey soap you will need to collect 250 ml of olive oil, 250 ml of water, 50 g of caustic soda, 75 ml of almond oil, 75 ml of coconut oil and 4 teaspoons of honey. We will use almond and coconut oil to boost the hydration and nutrition that soap will bring to our skin. Remember that they are base oils that do not bring scent but many properties.
2. The first thing to do is to put olive oil, almonds and coconut oil in a saucepan and bring to a simmer . If you wish, you can make your own almond oil and coconut oil by following these simple recipes. If you do not have one of the oils you will have to balance the amounts of the other two, always maintaining the proportion, especially, of olive oil.
3. While the oils are heating, mix the soda with water very carefully . Caustic soda is a very aggressive product so do not forget to use gloves and mask to manipulate it. When the soda has dissolved completely and the oils are hot and intregrados, extinguish the fire and pour the soda slowly into the mixture of oils.
4. When you have all the soda in the oil pan, beat it all with the aid of the blender at low speed. As you beat and the ingredients of the honey soap integrate you can increase the speed to average. You should beat until you get a soft cream.
5. Now is the time to inlcude honey. The amount of honey is orientative, if you wish you can incorporate a few teaspoons. Of course, we advise you to start small and increase it as you try the final result, since honey is a concentrated product and with little is enough. Mix everything and when you have the final solution pour it in the molds. You can use both molds specific for soaps and a single glass and cut yourself the pieces once hard. If you use a glass mold you should put paper towels to remove the soap.
6. Now you must leave the molds in a cool and ventilated place so that the honey soap hardens, between 15 and 30 days. Probably after 48 hours the soap will be hard enough to remove it from the mold but you will not be able to use it until it is crowded for 15-30 days. As you see making your own soap is very simple and the result is a completely natural product.
